Two University of Nevada students Died in Crash

Early on Monday morning, November 30, two University of Nevada, Reno students died in a crash.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 12.30 a.m. on a two lane highway about 7 miles outside of Tonopah. A Ford pickup truck being driven by 19 year old Roman Suslov from Las Vegas was driving west and then drifted over the center lane into oncoming traffic. Suslov then over corrected and the truck flipped and landed about 100 feet off the roadway.

Both Suslov and his passenger, 19 year old Mateo Silva-Medina also of Las Vegas, were killed in the crash.

They were both wearing seat belts and at this time it is not known whether impairment was involved.

The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses have been asked to come forward.
