Person Killed After Two Vehicle Accident

On Friday, March 13 a person was killed after a two vehicle accident on U.S.95 near Valley View.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol, the accident happened just before 5 a.m. on the southbound U.S. 95. The two vehicles involved were a Ford Ranger and a Toyota SUV. The Toyota was being driven at a high rate of speed and crossed into the lane where the Ford Ranger was traveling. The impact caused both cars to roll over and a man in the SUV, 21 year old Keaton Niday of Las Vegas, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The two occupants of the Ford Ranger pickup only had had minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.

Due to the debris on the road there was then a second accident but no one was seriously hurt.

Four lanes were closed for around for hours for the investigation and the removal of the debris which impeded the morning commute from the north and west sides of Las Vegas Valley.
